Result Slip

1. How can I download the result slip in UCampus?
Kindly login into UCampus, go to “My Details/Studies” tab and click Download Result Slip.

2. How to download previous result slip in UCampus?
Kindly login into UCampus, go to “My Details/Studies” tab, click on “My Previous Results”, choose “Programme, Year & Semester” and click “Run Report”.

3. I am unable to download the previous result slip. When I tried to click run report nothing happened. I have tried two browsers but it’s not working.
Please disable pop-up blocker in iPad and iPhone (for Safari user). Then, you will be able to view previous result slip in UCampus.

4. How to disable pop-up blocker (for Safari user)?
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Safari. Turn off Block Pop-ups.

5. How can I request for certified true copy of result slip?
Please log a case through UCS Portal as per guidelines below:

Title          :      Certify True Copy
Type         :      Request
Subject     :      REG – Registration & Examination (REX)

Kindly attach the documents for certification purposes.

6. How to attach more than multiple files in UCS portal?
Please ensure the below before attaching the required supporting documents in the UCS.
- To attach all the supporting documents as a single file (i.e., to convert PDF into a single PDF file or use Zip File) OR
- Choose “SELECT ALL” files at once during the attachment process

 

Exam Result

1. How to calculate my GPA for my current semester?
Kindly refer to CGPA calculator here.

2. How does GPA or CGPA get rounded?
The GPA or CGPA calculated to that point rounded to 2 decimal places.
e.g. 3.984 becomes 3.98 & 3.459 becomes 3.46


3. I got an A for Student Industrial Project (SIP), however my academic standing is Good Standing instead of Dean’s List. Is it because it's an internship programme?
To obtain Dean’s List status, you must fulfill the following conditions:
i) Must Pass all registered courses
ii) Must at least register a minimum of ten (10) credit hours
iii) Must obtain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.50 and above

4. I am taking Student Industrial Training (SIT) on Jan 2022 Semester however, the CGPA is the same as previous semester (Sep 2021). I would like to ask does the CGPA supposed to be the same? Shouldn’t it increase/decrease?
For SIT a grade of PASS/FAIL is given and no contribution towards final CGPA.

5. What is the meaning of W grade?
The grade ‘W’ is awarded for a course which has been withdrawn. The withdrawn course will not contribute to the GPA or CGPA.

6. Why did I get grade "I" (incomplete) for one of my subjects?
The Incomplete grade (I) will be given to a student who is not able to sit for final examination or to complete a course due to reasons accepted by the University. The grade will be replaced with the new grade obtained after sitting for the replacement examination.


Course Redemption

1. What is the Course Redemption Policy?
Course Redemption is also known as Grade Replacement. It is only eligible for students who have failed any of their course(s) or obtained grade C and below.

2. Do I need to repeat a course if I receive a “D” grade?
No, a “D” grade considered a passing grade.

3. If I repeat a course, how will my CGPA be calculated?
When you repeat a course, the course with the lower grade will be recorded on your academic transcript and will be excluded from CGPA calculation with the notation of AU. Meanwhile, the best graded course will be included in CGPA calculation.

4. Which course will be counted if the student earns the same grade when repeating a course?
If the same grade is earned for a repeated course, the most recent attempt of the course will be count while the older attempt will be excluded (AU) in the CGPA calculation.

5. Where is it displayed in the academic transcript for repeated courses?
All attempts of the same course will have the letter “AU” next to the grade on the academic transcript. Those with the "AU” do not count in the CGPA and listed with 0 credit hour.

6. If I fail 1 course, is there any re-sit for the test only or do I need to repeat the course for next semester?
You need to repeat the course and carry out the assignment, test, or any assessment determined by course lecturer.

7. How much the fee for repeat course?
The repeat course shall be charged based on the credit hours.

8. How to register the repeat course?
You may register the repeat course during course registration add and drop period (subject to availability).


Passing Mark

1. What is the passing mark for an undergraduate course?
For undergraduate, it is compulsory for a student to adhere to the policy of obtaining a minimum 40% of final examination and coursework mark for all courses in order to pass the course. This condition applies to all undergraduate programmes.

2. What is the passing mark for foundation course?
For foundation, in order to pass the course, the student must obtain a minimum score of 20% in the final
examination.

3. May I know what is the passing mark for coursework?
The requirement of passing coursework mark of 40% in order to pass a course, starting May 2020 semester. This is applicable to all courses offered in undergraduate programmes.

Remarking

1. What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my marks and want a recheck?
You may apply for remarking the final examination results, if you are dissatisfied with the grade obtained.

2. When can I apply for remaking?
An appeal for remarking can be made within three (3) days after the results have been released. Application received after the deadline shall not be accepted.

3. Can I remarking for courses without Final Exam?
No, appeal for remarking is only applicable for course with Final Exam ONLY.

4. How much does it cost for appeal for remarking?
The fee for remarking is RM100 per course (non-refundable).

5. May I know what is the procedure to remarking?
You need to submit Appeal for Remarking Form to REX personnel through an email.

6. When can I get my remarking result?
The result of remarking will be ready one month after the deadline. Please note that the result could possibly be the same with the original grade. The decision of the University Examination Committee on the marks and grade of a particular course after remarking is final.


Supplementary and Replacement Examination

1. What is a supplementary exam?
A supplementary examination is a special examination given to an eligible student subject to UEC approval.

2. Does supplementary exam offered for undergraduate students?
Any graduating undergraduate student who has attempted and sat for final examination but failed the course(s) may be offered to sit for supplementary examination in fulfillment of the graduation requirement upon the UEC approval. The supplementary examination is only applicable for a maximum of two (2) non-project based course(s) in the semester with some nominal processing fee (not refundable). Results for the Supplementary Examination shall be recorded as Supplementary Pass (SP) or Fail (F).

3. What is a replacement exam?
A replacement examination is a special examination given to an eligible student subject to UEC approval. Any student who has failed to attend final examination due to valid approved reason may request to sit for replacement examination upon the UEC approval.

4. When is supplementary and replacement exam will be conducted?
Supplementary exams are scheduled after the formal exam period and may not be available for all subjects.

5. I had failed one subject, but I didn’t receive any notification from REX regarding my supplementary exam. What should I do?
If that’s the case, you are not eligible to sit for supplementary exam. Therefore, for any courses you had failed, you can proceed to retake by completing the course registration as usual subjected to the availability of the courses offered in the semester.

6. I have failed one subject because I did not sit for final examination and did not have any MC. Can I sit for replacement exam?
Only absent with medical certificate (MC) provided will be considered for a replacement exam as per regulation by the University.

7. How do I know if I’m being offered for replacement or supplementary exam?
For those eligible, you will get an email from Registration & Examination Department (REX) on the same day results has been released. An official email will be sent together with the timetable details.

8. How much does it cost for supplementary exam?
For Supplementary Examination, a fee of RM150 per course (non-refundable) is imposed.

9. When is the deadline to submit supplementary form together with proof of payment?
The Supplementary form and proof of payment must be submitted within the given deadline. Submission after the deadline will not be entertained.

10. What if I have paid for supplementary exam fee, but I did not attend during the exam?
Students who failed to sit for supplementary exam, results will be maintained as F grade.
