  • Q: How many water dispensers are there on campus?

    • A: There are a total of 124 water dispensers across the campus.

        

  • Q: Where are the water dispensers located?

    • A: The water dispensers are divided into two main areas:

      • 35 non-residential areas

      • 89 in residential areas

         

  • Q: What models of water dispensers are used?

    • A: The models used are NWD700 (8 units) and K600 (70 units).  

      • NWD700 (8 units)

      • K600 (109 units)

      • Oreas 520Plus (7 units) 

 

 

B) REPORTING ISSUE/S PROCEDURES

 

  • Q: What steps should I take before submitting a report through the UCS??

    • Ensure the power outlet is switched on and have electricity.

    • Check that the power switch at the rear of the water dispenser is in the "on" position.

    • If the water dispenser is still not functioning after completing these checks, proceed with submitting your report.

       

  • Q: How do I report a problem with a water dispenser?

    • A: All stakeholders can log issues, requests, and problems related to water dispensers via the UCS using the below format

      • Case Title: WD – V5G (Block or Village) – Level 2 (which Floor) – (what the issue)

      • Type: Problem

      • Subject: SA – Student Support and Welfare

      • Your Enquiry: Please explain what the issue/s

         

  • Q: Who is responsible for water dispenser issues?

    • A: All issues, requests, and problems related to water dispensers except COWAY Water Filters for all areas are coordinated by the Student Support & Welfare, Student Affairs Department. 

       

  • Q: Who is responsible for water dispenser (COWAY) issues?

    • COWAY water dispenser is coordinated by Residential Management (RM)

       

  • Q: Who should I contact regarding water dispenser issues?

 

 

C) COMMON ISSUES AND MAINTENANCE

  • Q: What are the most common problems with the water dispensers?

    • A: The most common issues reported are: -

      • Power trips,

      • Defects (faulty components, poor assembly, wear and tear),

      • No water,

      • Water taste issues

 

  • Q: How often is maintenance performed?

    • A: Regular servicing is done every quarter, which includes changing the cartridge and 5-micron carbon block.
